Reformer Pilates is coming to Copper Coast

Copper Coast Sport and Leisure Centre is thrilled to announce that a state-of-the-art Reformer Pilates Studio will be opening on site in early August 2025.
This new addition – the biggest addition to the centre since its redevelopment five years ago – is part of an ongoing commitment to expanding the health and wellness offerings for the Copper Coast community.
The studio will feature twelve Pilates Reformer beds, four of which will have a virtual kiosk, allowing members to have the flexibility to do a guided Pilates class at their discretion.
Copper Coast Sport and Leisure Centre Venue Manager Giles Ellis is thrilled to be offering members the chance to benefit from the strength-based movement that is taking the health and fitness world by storm.
“We’re introducing Reformer Pilates to provide our members with a dynamic and low-impact workout option that complements our existing health and wellness offerings. Our goal is to offer an activity for everyone in the community, in an affordable and accessible way.” said Ellis.
“Located in the old downstairs group fitness room, upgrades have commenced to ensure the room feels like a modern Pilates Studio. It’s already looking great, and we have had a lot of members ask about how they can get involved.”
Nicole Fergusson, Copper Coast Sport and Leisure Centre Gym Instructor commented on the benefits of Reformer Pilates.
“Reformer Pilates is an incredible strength and mobility workout that benefits everyone. It’s not just for flexibility; it enhances core strength, posture and overall fitness. The beauty of reformer Pilates is that anyone can do it. We’re seeing more and more members embrace the lower impact exercise as part of their routine, whether they’re athletes, weekend warriors or just looking for a balanced approach to fitness.”
With its ability to build strength, improve flexibility and support injury prevention, Reformer Pilates is gaining traction as an essential workout for people of all ages, genders and fitness levels.
Classes will be designed for all fitness levels with a timetable to be released shortly.
